Directions To High Haven

Once on the Island, there are options for arrival at High Haven, other than by your own car.  High Haven House is within walking distance (less than ½ mile) from the Vineyard Haven ferry terminal, but the walk is up hill.  Unless you are traveling very light, please take a taxi.  Taxis are available at taxi stands next to the ferry terminal.  If you are arriving by air, taxi stands are also located next to the Martha’s Vineyard International Airport (MVY) terminal building

Driving Directions:
By car, exit the ferry and turn left when you leave the parking and car queuing area. Follow the Water Street one block to the intersection with Beach Road; make a right turn. Travel to the first intersection and turn right onto Main Street; and take the second left onto Church Street. Proceed two blocks to Franklin Street, turn right, and then an immediate left onto Clough Street. Travel one block to Pine Street (at the Stop sign) and turn right. Turn left off Pine Street onto Summer Street and High Haven is on the right at number 85.

Walking Directions:
Walking is very direct but up hill. Unless you are traveling very light, please use a taxi service. There are taxi stands beside the Terminal Building. For Main Street shopping, use the map below from our brochure. To walk from the Ferry Terminal, walk directly up Union Street to Main Street. Go to the right, cross the street, and take an immediate left onto Church Street. Proceed two blocks to Franklin Street; turn right and then an immediate left onto Clough Street. Travel one block to Pine Street (at the Stop sign) and turn right. Turn left off Pine Street onto Summer Street and High Haven is on the right at number 85.
